Hotels in Cumbria, United Kingdom

Cumbria sits in northwest England, home to the Lake District national park and England's highest peak, Scafell Pike. Its cool, rainy climate means summer highs around 68°F (20°C) are perfect for hiking trails like Catbells or kayaking on Windermere, while crisp winters around 41°F (5°C) suit cozy visits to Grasmere's gingerbread shop or learning about Beatrix Potter's original illustrations at Hill Top. Spring brings blooming daffodils along Ullswater, inspired by Wordsworth's poem, and autumn offers fewer crowds for climbing Helvellyn or tasting real Cumberland sausage in Keswick.
